West Coast Travels

I spent the beginning of my week in California on a business trip. We had a layover in Las Vegas, where I lost $7 dollars on a slot machine. I have never gambled before, so I am still dwelling over my loss. Let's just say I don't think I will be doing that again any time soon. A very nice, hungover man told me that I should not dwell because it was like buying two coffees. Ok, sir. Whatever you say.

Needless to say, California is beautiful. There is such a different vibe there and I totally dig it. We ended up venturing up to La Jolla for a stroll on their coast line and a visit with their local sea lions.
Not a care in the world...

It was absolutely breath taking. I told Mike that we need to take a trip asap.

If you are ever there, we stopped at a place called 57 Degrees. It was a huge wine warehouse, deli, restaurant, and also was the home to "The Beer Project". It used to be a pier one, so their space was huge and very industrial/modern. The Beer Project was a way to capture all of the beer made in San Diego County and serve that and only that to their customers. Very cool concept and it was delicious.

Another find I came across on our trip was this vintage refrigerator. Obsessed. The shelves in it swiveled out for easy access and there was a tin butter tray built into the door. I cannot wait till we get a home for me to go crazy with!

All in all, California was great. Saw beautiful sights and beautiful people. I cannot wait to go back!

Take me back!!

Our travel bugs have awoken.. where to next??
