Enjoying the Little Things

Today marks the 50th anniversary of JFK's assignation. I have always been fascinated with this day in history. The topic came up at work the other day and my boss went into detail about friends of his being there that day and the days after. I could listen to him speak about it for hours. After our conversation, I took to the computer and looked up more information. What a crazy day in history.

Since then, I cannot get the idea of how precious life is out of my mind. We are always loving life, but it makes me wonder why we waste our time on little tiffs or get angry about making the wrong turn. Life is a true blessing as are our loved ones.

So this week we have been spending time enjoying the little things. We have been breaking out of our weekly routine to do some of the things we have been talking about doing.

First one: Watch Lord Of the Rings: The Fellowship Of the Ring

And wine, of course

Second: Visit a bakery Michael has always wanted to take me to. Three years later we made it!

Delicious muffins, fresh bread and Snickerdoodle coffee!

Thrid: Christmas decoration shopping. I always tell myself I want to go all-out on decorations, but then time slips away and Christmas is over. While on my shopping spree, I ran into this little cutie. I have a serious thing for owls. Mike has been very kind in letting me put them randomly around the house, but anymore and he might start making them disappear. So I held off on buying this one...for now.

Lovin' the eyebrows

Fourth: Hunger Games: Catching Fire. We are not night owls, ironically, but we could not pass up seeing this movie with our friends. Our showing tonight is at 10:50pm and we are in bed most nights at 9:30pm. I am going to need a coffee.

Fifth: My office Christmas tree. Something so simple, but changes everything.

Christmas Elf

A new family motto: Live everyday to the fullest and enjoy the little things!
